Spencer Day Releases Concord Jazz Debut
The new CD from emerging singer, songwriter & pianist Spencer Day, Vagabond, is out now (CD & Digital) on Concord Jazz.
Released this week, Vagabond draws from the “Great American Songbook" and is infused with contemporary influences from artists like Roy Orbison, Dusty Springfield and Burt Bacharach, further cementing his reputation as a balladeer for the new century. In the past year alone, Spencer Day has also opened for Rufus Wainwright at the Napa Valley Opera House, and appeared at both the Monterey Jazz Festival and the Tanglewood Jazz Festival.

The Monterey Jazz Quartet Release Live CD
The new release from The Monterey Jazz Quartet, Live at the 2007 Monterey Jazz Festival - hits stores this week (CD & digital) via Concord Records / Monterey Jazz Festival Records.
Recorded live at the 50th anniversary event of the legendary Monterey Jazz Festival, the CD documents the first-ever collaboration and premier performance of the all-star group comprised of bassist Dave Holland, saxophonist Chris Potter, pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba, and drummer Eric Harland. Holland, Potter, and Harland (with Jason Moran filling in the piano chair) are currently on tour together in support of the CD.
